Villages such as Weston, Chester, Newfane and Grafton have treasure troves of antique shops, art galleries, museums and historic sites. A visit to Manchester is a must, if you like shopping, Vermont's own Orvis, is located here as as well as countless of outlet stores. If you are an art and history buff try Hildene - The Lincoln Family Home or the Southern Vermont Art Center: Vermont's oldest cultural organization. The American Museum of Fly Fishing, home to the world’s largest collection of angling art and angling-related items, is a guarantee to turn you into a fan of the sport.

Enjoy Nature's Wonders:

The Jamaica State Park is just a short walk or bike ride down the street from the Inn. Comprising of over 770 acres, the park has several miles of trails. The old railroad bed is now used as the main trail that leads along the West River to Ball Mountain Dam. Just off the main trail, after a short half mile hike, you will be rewarded by one of the most beautiful falls in the State of Vermont -
Hamilton Falls, after thousands of years, the waters of the Cobb Brook have slice through the bedrock creating three "potholes" while dropping 125 feet.

Play in the Snow:

Southern Vermont has all your winter needs, whether you like downhill or cross country skiing, snowboarding or snowshoeing, snowmobiling or a romantic sleigh ride, it's all here. Stratton Mountain has excellent downhill, you are guaranteed good snow with snowmaking on 100% of the trails. Also close by are Bromley, Mount Snow and Magic Mountain Ski Resort areas.
Grafton Ponds and Wild Wings have terrific cross country trails.
