While foliage season with its magical colors and spectacular views gets all the attention, Springtime is just as colorful - some say Spring is the most beautiful time of the year!
In Vermont, the melting snow creates our infamous Mud Season. It also signals the bulbs, planted so long ago, to break through the soil and sprout their young shoots. Once the ground firms and the grasses begin to turn green, buds appear on plants and trees.
As the bears awake from the winter sleep, birds and bees buzz through the air creating yet another wonderful spring sensory experience. Cardinals, Blue Jays, Orioles, Warblers and Chickadees remind us to re-fill our bird feeders with their favorite meals.
By the end of April Southern Vermont is blazing with color. We wake each morning with a new color, a different shade of green, a brilliant yellow, a breathtaking pink. Every tree and shrub competes to attract our attention - almost shouting, "Look at me! Take MY picture!" Come stay with us and take pictures!
